Over 30 years experience in the semiconductor, computer, disk drive, telecommunications, consumer electronics and litigation support industries with Bell Telephone Laboratories, RCA, Signetics, Motorola, Time Warner-Atari, Teklicon, Inc., IP Managers, Inc., Silicon Valley Expert Witness Group (SVEWG), IPAM Corporation, LECG and Censtor Corporation. Mr. Summers has held various senior management positions in engineering, manufacturing and marketing and has founded four high technology litigation support companies; Teklicon, Inc., IP Managers, Inc., SVEWG, Inc. and IPAM Corporation. IP Managers and SVEWG, LLC merged on November 1, 2000, with SVEWG, Inc. becoming the surviving corporation. SVEWG, Inc. was sold to LECG Corporation in August 2004 and in January 2008 Mr. Summers purchased SVEWG, Inc. from LECG Corporation in a leveraged buy-out. Mr. Summers has extensive experience in high technology intellectual property asset management, expert witness testimony for IP disputes, ADR for high technology cases and consulting for complex technologies. Mr. Summers holds two patents and has published numerous articles and lectured on semiconductor applications and technologies, litigation and ADR in high technology disputes and IP Licensing. He is a member of IEEE, Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi, the American Collegeof Forensic Examiners and the Executive Licensing Society. He received his BSEE and MSEE degrees from the University of Houston in 1969 and 1970, respectively.
