Expert has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and has over 30 years of experience with power electronics. Currently a Professor in Electrical Engineering and an Endowed Chair in Power Electronics, he has worked previously in industry at the EPRI Power Electronics Applications Center as a Chief Scientist and later Distinguished Scientist, and at General Electric Corporate Research & Development as a Research Electrical Engineer.

His research interests span the entire spectrum of power electronics and specifically involve power converters for clean power systems, ac drives, microcomputer control, sensorless control, EV/HV drives, as well as expert system, fuzzy logic and neural network applications in power electronic and drives. He has published more than 170 papers, and holds 21 US patents. He has authored/edited six books in power electronics and one has been used as a graduate level text in many universities around the world. He has prior expert witness experience.

He has expertise and is able to serve as an expert witness in the following: Power Electronics, Motor Drives, Converters, Wind Generation, Solar/Photovoltaic Systems, Fuzzy Logic and Neural Network Power Applications, Energy System Components, Digital Circuits, AC, Hybrid & Electric Vehicles.

Expert has a Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering and over twenty years experience in high-speed fiber-optic and electronic component design and manufacturing, semiconductor fabrication, and device physics. His experience includes original theoretical and experimental contributions in the field of optical and microwave semiconductor devices, development of semiconductor device processes and equipment. He has fourteen patents and previous experience as an expert witness.

He has expertise and is able to serve as an expert witness in the following: Semiconductor lasers, Microwave semiconductor diodes, Light-emitting diodes (LED), Fiber-optics and devices, VCSELs, Silicon and compound semiconductor device processing and process characterization, Semiconductor processing equipment, mixed-signal electronic circuits, mathematical modeling of electronic and opto-electronic devices, packages, and systems, microwave and high-speed optical test equipment and methods.

Expert has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, is a Professional Engineer with 20 years of industry experience, and is currently a Professor of Electrical Engineering. His previous employers include Micron Technology and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. His work experience includes designing CMOS circuits for DRAM, phase-locked loops for embedded graphics chips, voltage references and regulators, field-emitting display drivers, and low power/high speed CMOS imaging chips. His academic courses include analog, digital, VLSI, and mixed-signal integrated circuit design and custom CMOS design. He has over 20 patents. The Expert has also provided depositions and expert witness testimony in areas ranging from delay-locked loop design to fire alarm wiring. Most of his expert witness experience has been in CMOS analog, digital, and memory circuit design.

He has expertise and is able to serve as an expert witness in the following: CMOS Design (Analog/Digital), CMOS Mixed Signal Design, DRAM Design, Power MOSFET Design, and ASIC Design
