Expert has over 35 years of computer science and electrical engineering industry experience. He has prior experience in multiple engagements as a patent infringement and class action expert witness. Currently an independent consultant, he has worked for large computer manufacturers as part of engineering teams developing hardware and software systems. Expert has over 40 years of experience in the design of semiconductor products and has a Ph.D. in Computers and Communications. He has more than 10 patents in the areas of CMOS design, cryogenic memory, and memory addressing. He has over 25 engagements as a semiconductor expert witness. His notable career includes early work in the technical areas of color television, moving to solid state electronics, LEDs and photodiodes, developing major CMOS product lines, managing microprocessor business divisions, and new processors for mainframe computers. His later career history includes business and technical management for large and small corporations in the fields of microcontrollers, ASIC and RISC systems. Currently an independent consultant, he works with clients to assist their development, analysis, and launch of new semiconductor products. He has been heavily involved in advanced technology development, operations, applications, process, packaging, marketing and business planning across many different product lines.

Expert has over twenty-eight years of extremely broad based experience in the analysis, simulation, design, development, integration, testing and debug of multi-disciplinary electronic systems. Since 1981 as an engineering consultant, and from 1977-1981 as a founding employee of a high tech startup, he has designed and managed the development of numerous electronic systems, printed circuit board designs, software programs, firmware, control systems and other devices. He has three patents.

His primary areas of focus include instrumentation and control systems, digital and analog circuit design; signal integrity simulation and modeling for high-speed digital circuits; medical product design and development; power management and distribution in electronic equipment/products; data communications products; data compression systems; multi-disciplinary system design and simulation; automatic test equipment (ATE) product development; embedded firmware; and software for a plurality of hardware platforms, in several different programming languages. He has debugged malfunctioning products and systems and reverse-engineered and tested electronic hardware and software based products for a number of clients. He has been an expert witness in seven engagements.

Expert has over 35 years of experience and is a senior semiconductor operations, engineering and facilities safety director. He has hands-on technical and management expertise in the specification, development and operations of clean rooms, microelectronics assembly, chemical, gas, gas safety, and alarm technologies. His manufacturing experience includes automatic testing & control and component electronics from IC/logic design to yield engineering, communications, and major computer systems. His previous positions include Director of Plant Engineering and Risk Management, Vice-President of Manufacturing Engineering, Director of Test and Assembly, and an endowed chair of Process Engineering for a new Microelectronics Proessing Engineering Program at a Silicon Valley university. Currently he consults and performs audits on technical operations, facilities, safety systems, and personnel selection. He has previous expert witness experience.
