His notable career includes early work in the technical areas of color television, moving to solid state electronics, LEDs and photodiodes, developing major CMOS product lines, managing microprocessor business divisions, and new processors for mainframe computers. His later career history includes business and technical management for large and small corporations in the fields of microcontrollers, ASIC and RISC systems. Currently an independent consultant, he works with clients to assist their development, analysis, and launch of new semiconductor products. He has been heavily involved in advanced technology development, operations, applications, process, packaging, marketing and business planning across many different product lines. He has expertise and is able to serve as an expert witness in the following fields: Intellectual Property Research, Patent Analysis and Evaluation, Prior Art Search, Litigation Damage Analysis, ITC Action Support, Semiconductor Memory, Microcontroller Technology, Microprocessor Technology, Embedded Processors, RISC Processors, Digital Circuits, Analog Circuits, ASIC, IP Macros, Megacells, DRAM, SRAM. His industry experience includes formerly a Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Labs. He has previous expert witness experience. He has expertise and is able to serve as an expert witness in the following: Digital Signal Processing Architectures, General Purpose Computer Architectures, VLSI Design, Computer Graphics, Memory system architecture, DRAM, SRAM, EEPROM, and Flash memory. 1018 Expert has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, is a Professional Engineer with 20 years of industry experience, and is currently a Professor of Electrical Engineering. His previous employers include Micron Technology and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. His work experience includes designing CMOS circuits for DRAM, phase-locked loops for embedded graphics chips, voltage references and regulators, field-emitting display drivers, and low power/high speed CMOS imaging chips. His academic courses include analog, digital, VLSI, and mixed-signal integrated circuit design and custom CMOS design. He has over 20 patents. The Expert has also provided depositions and expert witness testimony in areas ranging from delay-locked loop design to fire alarm wiring. Most of his expert witness experience has been in CMOS analog, digital, and memory circuit design. He has expertise and is able to serve as an expert witness in the following: CMOS Design (Analog/Digital), CMOS Mixed Signal Design, DRAM Design, Power MOSFET Design, and ASIC Design 1281 Expert has 20-plus years of experience, which includes developing firmware, BIOS and software for the data storage, medical devices, and printer/scanner industries. He has participated in four litigation matters examining firmware and interpreting patents. His accomplishments include the first SCSI disk drive and controller as well as numerous other successful industrial and aerospace products.
