Power Systems:
1041 Expert has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and has over 30 years of experience with power electronics. Currently a Professor in Electrical Engineering and an Endowed Chair in Power Electronics, he has worked previously in industry at the EPRI Power Electronics Applications Center as a Chief Scientist and later Distinguished Scientist, and at General Electric Corporate Research & Development as a Research Electrical Engineer. His research interests span the entire spectrum of power electronics and specifically involve power converters for clean power systems, ac drives, microcomputer control, sensorless control, EV/HV drives, as well as expert system, fuzzy logic and neural network applications in power electronic and drives. He has published more than 170 papers, and holds 21 US patents. He has authored/edited six books in power electronics and one has been used as a graduate level text in many universities around the world. He has prior expert witness experience. He has expertise and is able to serve as an expert witness in the following: Power Electronics, Motor Drives, Converters, Wind Generation, Solar/Photovoltaic Systems, Fuzzy Logic and Neural Network Power Applications, Energy System Components, Digital Circuits, AC, Hybrid & Electric Vehicles. 1011 Expert has a Ph.D. in engineering and over twenty years experience at the senior levels of management in large and small high technology companies and Universities. He has lectured and authored publications on engineering management and many aspects of electric power technology, and has five patents. He is an experienced and well-regarded expert in engineering management and electric power fallen conductor detection technology. He has consulted on twenty-five court cases involving personal injury, and cases involving property damage from fire and electrical outages, including device operation. He has experience with live deposition and trial testimony.
