This expert has over 17 years of experience in the coffee industry. He has done extensive research on coffee genetics and its relation to quality and participated in development of quality standards for the Q Grade the industry standard for quality coffee. He holds a Ph.D. in plant physiology and is the inventor on two US patents concerning coffee plants and numerous foreign patent filings based on these patents. In addition, this expert served for over 10 years as a director of the Association for Science and Information on Coffee (Paris) that supports science and technology in all areas of the coffee industry. He has also served for eight years as trustee of the Coffee Quality Institute, dedicated to improving coffee quality.
